I have stage 4 cancer and do chemotherapy here. Everyone is always polite and caring. Dr. Nafissi, Dr. Lin and my palliative care nurse Nicole are awesome. Thanks to all of them for working hard to save my life.

Just wanted to share our experience with UCI and Chao Cancer Center. After 5 1/2 years of our daughter fighting Stage 3a Melanoma cancer, she FINALLY graduated from cancer screenings and oncology appointments this month, December 2025! We're so grateful and pleased with Dr. Jakowatz (retired) and Dr. Valerin who were so crucial in our daughter's journey. No hospital is perfect, but office staff, doctors, were awesome. I have nothing but the most amazing things to say about Dr. Holly Yong. She is a smart, confident, breath of fresh air. Her confidence and knowledge made me feel safe and able to trust her. I wish every person in the medical field was as dedicated and compassionate as her. The world would be a better place.
This infusion center across from the UCI hospital is not much of a saint place either. One time I heard a few nurses giggle while whispering to each other saying "No hope for them" at one point, cancer is NOT a fricking joke. If a person asks for oxygen or needs something, they start laughing and take their time rather than taking a situation seriously.
