Took the open water course with UBC aqua society. The instructors are very knowledgeable and took time to ensure everyone understand the knowledge and skills performed. I have recommended this to my friends who are interested to get their open water certification.
My experience was terrible but it was about ten years ago. The coach randomly made up rules days before the test. eg. He randomly made up we need to swim 800m instead of 200 and treading water for like 40 minutes. It was such a big waste of my time and money.

The whole crew at the UBC Aqua Society is amazing to deal with. Thank you for fixing my regs when no other dive shop I took them to was able to! I look forward to continuing my training with you guys
