I drove my wife who is a disabled veteran to the UAMS Women’s Clinic as I am also her caregiver. The screeners at the front denied my entry saying I was a visitor or guest before ever giving my wife the opportunity to explain that I came to assist my wife in walking due to the procedure they had scheduled. The office informed us in advance that I would be allowed to accompany my wife and would grant us both access but the young lady in the lobby had already made up her mind about my qualifications and privileges.
