This hospital was excellent during my daughter's surgery!! The staff were so friendly and helpful!!! I mean from the doctors, to nurses, to administration, to housekeeping to cooks and all in between!!!! I would recommend UAMS to everyone!!!
This place is an absolute maze!! But there are so many helpful people to point you in the right direction, whether you're in the wrong building or wrong floor, or just plain lost! I have never met so many nice people in one place! The Dr and her assistant were so very nice and interested in US, not in a hurry to get us out of there! Five minutes is the most we had to wait to be called for David's procedures! Even when we got there at 1:45 for a 2:00 appointment, we were immediately called in! I was recently discharged from UAMS, after going to the ER and being admitted. I was treated with dignity and professionalism from the moment I walked in. The staff were all so courteous. The Drs. and Residents were thorough and informative. Of course, there were a couple of them who I thought were a little harsh, but we have no way of knowing what's going on in their lives, and they ARE human. This was our first experience with UAMS. Everything was good until my wife's surgery was over. She was in recovery about 2 hrs which we are not complaing about. The wait for a room was exasperating to say the least. 5 hrs! That's not very good.
We came in on Sunday July 23 with my boss at first it was rocky but the er staff was amazing to get it taken care of and to get him admitted. After he was admitted to the floor 9H the staff was so amazing. They worked with us so well and we had a lot of laughs and they cared so much for him. I learned new things and seen things in a new way. I want to give the 9th floor a big thank you.
