After having a ton of tests and symptoms with my primary doctor, I was referred to Dr. Kota because I was testing positive for three separate autoimmune diseases. She came into my appointment and said, 'You don't have lupus or anything else. I could maybe diagnose you with fibromyalgia but we will have to do a lot more testing.' Doctor was completely dismissive, condescending, and ignorant of factual evidence. Multiple blood tests over several years (as well as PCP suggestions) point to me having an auto-immune disease. She completely ignored all of these results, waving them away, and attributing all of my symptoms to being overweight and past trauma. Wants to proceed with a bevy of other tests (costing myself and billing insurance thousands of dollars) in order to attempt to diagnose me with fibromyalgia, which she claims is caused by past trauma ... read more
