I have used Dr. Laryea for yearly colonoscopies and multiple polyps removed. I have found him to be highly competent and thorough with a very calming demeanor. I came to know of him initially through one of my own patients who had a complicated case and whose own doctor had referred her to him as he felt he could do no more. She had her cancer removed and colon reattached and lived many years afterward. A nice doctor but after two visits no plan or help was given. After researching colon doctors for a few months I was very dissappointed that nothing came of these visits. I told him I had to take a bottle a day of Pepto and he said he thought it would not hurt me:(

I was diagnosed with a perineal abscess which developed into a fistula. Dr Laryea placed an OVESCO clip, which was not placed correctly, moved and caused extreme pain. After several months of pain and pleading for removal, he removed the clip and and placed an ileostomy bag. I was told that I would have the bag no longer than 6 to 8 months.
