This location is awful. At least on a weekend. If the management team is reading this INSTALL A FASTER SYSTEM SO THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES CAB ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOBS!! I had a 10:30am pick up time and did not walk out of the door with my truck keys until 11:45. What’s the point of a damn reservation then?? When I finally got the counter, the (understandably) frustrated staff, explained it was a system issue and that the company is cheap and won’t fix the system. This is an BILLION dollar company! The staff at this location are outstanding! I had a very difficult experience with moving my college student daughter recently. It was one of those experiences where everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The one exception, thank goodness, it was the staff at the Lombardy Street U-Haul. Everyone I dealt with was wonderful! they were fast, efficient, friendly, and professional – especially with my ever-changing scenario. The young lady was helpful and very nice. Equipment looked very maintained and clean.
The pickup location itself was fine, but the original booking location in Chantilly unexpectedly transferred my pickup to this location without informing me. This was a big surprise, and I should have been notified about the change in advance.
I rented a cargo van for four hours yesterday, returning it just before the UHaul office closed. When my invoice was emailed to me last night, I found a (significant) error in the billing -- clearly some sort of keystroke error, but large enough to cause me concern. I immediately emailed the manager, whose email was at the bottom of the invoice. When I went to the office at 7 the next morning, the Assistant Manager DaShan Ross was expecting me.
