Scam company that abuses the FL ins system. Took > 18 months and lawyers to get 70% of our water leak claim paid. They didn't meet the statutory requirements for responding to the claim, nor did they pay anything towards liquidated damages for 18 months. Their standard tactic is to offer 30-50% of just repair damages (0 for personal, rental reimbursement, storage, etc.). Unfortunately in FL all we have left are these kind of ins companies. I had rain leak into my breaker box. I've never seen anything like it. My first reaction was call the electrician. He replaced the needed equipment and wrote water damage on the contract. I threw the old stuff away but had plenty of pictures. Adjuster came and recommended they pay. But of course, as I expected the company declined to pay. Accordong to them I should have immediately taken pics moved into a hotel and left the box the way it was until God knows when. They'll non renew you if you make a claim. It's taken over a year and they still haven't paid the whole claim.

I have an existing homeowners policy through TypTap and called in to get a quote on another home owners policy.... after 8 days, and many calls to their customer service people, I still do not have a quote back. Apparently the rep who I originally spoke to is the ONLY one allowed to speak to me yet she won't call back. VERY POOR customer/sales service....I will be looking around to another company to move the existing policy I have since this is the way they want to treat clients who want to give them more business.
