Edit: You fixed the water pump the next day in the morning, finishing at 10 pm is not the truth. We might have called you the day before, but it's simply not true you came to fix it at night. We mentioned our findings during trip to staff and on return, thanks for looking into this. Bottle of bleach was a spray bottle. We always had cleaning reagents on board of other hire boats. We had the most wonderful holiday on the Chieftain boat this Easter. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into what would be helpful and handy to have on the boat. A fully stocked kitchen, filled with utensils. The boat had a TV and radio with the ability to watch DVDs. We had a great handover when picking up the boat with detailed tuition and the offer for someone to accompany us to the first lock to ensure we were comfortable with how to operate it. Twyford Wharf Narrowboats is an excellent company. Colin and Louise are helpful and friendly. Booking a holiday with them is very straightforward. Our family has been on two week-long trip on their two boats, which are perfect for a family of up to 6, and the comfiest boats out of the 8 I’ve hired. They are located about halfway along the South Oxford canal, so they are in a great spot to either travel south to Oxford and back, or north to Braunston and back over the course of a week. Twyford Wharf narrow boat company is EXCELLENT. I am out of the UK and a the last minute discovered a booking error. When I contacted Colin there, he was friendly, understanding, patient, and proposed solution options. He went "above and beyond" in making a solution happen. We had such a fun day. Time flew! Colin took us through the first lock, gave us some top tips and we were off! It was our first time on the canal and we loved it. Stopped off for a fabulous lunch at the Great Western Arms, then returned. I would highly recommend Twyford Wharf Narrow Boats. Friendly and competent. A highlight of the summer, very calm and relaxing.
