Last year, the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library purchased an extended Mercedes Sprinter van and chose TWR to convert it into our new bookmobile. The bookmobile will visit senior centers, preschools and underserved neighborhoods, allowing us to offer mobile library service. “I wanted to share a few updates regarding the vehicle and the new program that we created around using the vehicle. Since we started rolling out into the communities we serve (4 counties in Michigan), we have been able to provide services and basic needs resources to families (such as diapers, clothing, cleaning supplies, etc.). With serving rural communities, the concept of bringing services and resources into the community where transportation barriers are key, has been well received!
