Not the best experience… signed up for a cut and eyebrow wax. Did not get a wash (or even a spritz with water) before the cut. I had to ask twice to keep cutting it shorter because I guess I wasn’t clear enough about going 18 months between haircuts and wanting inches off, plus layers, and framing around my face. At the end, there wasn’t time for the eyebrow wax, but I was charged for the service anyways “because the haircut took so long”. So I still spent $90 with the tip to get a dry haircut…. And it’s ok.
I have medium length hair that I let flow, with a low taper to keep it more professional. Brooke CRUSHED IT! I am very picky about my hair, and usually travel to NYC for a specific barber in Williamsburg. I found Brooke in an attempt to hold me over until another nyc trip - and I am so glad I did! I now have someone I trust up here in Hanover with a top-tier cut. I have longer hair for a guy and Brooke did an amazing job with it. If you want to go to a place that cares about providing a quality service, this is it. It is about the service and you can tell. Highly recommend.
Can't recommend Twisted Scissors more. Brooke was very pleasant and made the haircut enjoyable. For the quality of the cut, it was very affordable! Will continue to come back.
Was on my up from New Jersey to Dartmouth for 100th birthday party. On the way I knew I needed a haircut and looked up on Google for a hair cut in Hanover. I really like the name twisted scissors and read the previous reviews about Brooke. I feel so lucky that I was able to get a haircut with her and must say It was worth a 5 Hour Drive. Not sure, but But must make a trip up here again, just for the haircut. If you are in town, you should make it special and make yourself an appointment here you will not be disappointed.
