With high-quality made-to-order burgers, a ‘come as you are’ environment and a strange reverence for Chuck Norris, there’s no place else quite like Twisted Root. Way back before ‘gourmet burgers’ was a thing, Chefs Jason Boso & Quincy Hart decided to build a restaurant around half-pound, fresh ground burgers with a menu that allowed customers to build their own burgers with a list of crazy and inventive toppings. The two met in culinary school, after jobs in stock brokerages and telephone line r... read more

Worst experience ever! I asked for the house salad because I’m not that hungry and it was just $5. The girl charges me $11. I trying to get an understanding of why the menu says $5 but my receipt says $11. The little girl then says idk and turns around. Another little says oh you were charged for the large salad. I said ok so no one knows how to ask if I want the small or the large salad and I got no response. Rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional! Smallest $11 salad ever! So disappointed!
TONS of flies inside, we could hardly eat because we were so busy swatting flies away. We tried moving to the other side of the restaurant, and the flies were still absolutely awful. I’ve never seen a food establishment with so many flies indoors. The food was average if not below average. The fries were soggy and the cheese tasted like cheap Kraft singles. The burger itself was greasy and tasteless. The alcoholic drinks we got weren’t good, either.
Had visited this place several years back and it was amazing! Definitely looks run down now, no line on a Saturday evening should have been a sign. The best thing was the burger patties themselves. Nothing else seemed fresh, especially the sides. The cheese fries were the worst. The employees weren't especially friendly and the floors were dirty/sticky. Will not return.
