Not a safe space. The owner decided a vulgar word was worse than an hour of me being judged by a few bigots from the fire dept. OK. Understood. That the instructor noticed, and held eye contact with me about, but did nothing to stop. It was their first yoga class ever. On the Inauguration Day. I’m so glad for them. So far the owner has not even offered to refund my studio credits. I had been there over a year now. Guess that amounts to nothing. I’ll be in a different studio practicing. See ya there! #Namastaeaway

I have been taking Yoga for 20 years and have experienced different yoga instructors throughout. Maureen is such a great instructor! She doesn’t just call out poses for us, but explains the physiology of the movement as well as how to modify for our limitations or health restrictions. She was the very first instructor who explained how to properly align the position of my feet in order to avoid back injury while doing cobra pose.
