This hotel has been closed down for business once again as June 2015. Who knows how many years this place will sit vacant once again..
Our 3 night stay at Twin Oaks Resort in July 2014 was nothing short of disappointing. We booked a lake-side cabin which the website promised as air conditioned with a fire place and jacuzzi. When we arrived, we had been moved to another cabin which did not have a lake view (or good access), no A/C, no fireplace and no jacuzzi. The management did not call to inform us of this move, and after a 4 hour drive to the resort we decided to still stay. The facilities are aging and dated. Old TVs and poor WiFi make it a low tech destination. The staff is friendly and the rooms are large, plus you are right on the water.
The stay was okay. The place was a little outdated but the view was beautiful. Liked that it had a bar on site but it smelled like mildew. Nothing above ordinary to call it a resort but it was good for acouple of days. Staff was friendly and courteous.
