A very diversified, multiple nurseries in one location.
Worth the trip. Not only is this nursery on sacred land (it’s obvious why the plants thrive), but the owner is well-versed in horticulture. Do some research so you know what you want, because once you get there it’s like being a kid in a candy store. He has a large inventory with good prices. Fair warning, he’s old school and he’s been there for over 20 years so if you waste his time (which I did the first time), he won’t have it. Come prepared and you won’t regret it. Great selection of bamboo and other exotic plants! Marty is always great to work with and so knowledgable. Have been getting my plants here for years and have always had a great experience, great pricing too.
we drove all the way out there, said he had what we were looking for, at a good price, once we got there, he tried charging 200 per bamboo plant in a 5 gallon, 1k for 5 five gallon bamboo, went to evergreen nursery in del mar, they were 55 dollars each, exact same plant. it’s a guy growing plants at this house and will use the distance you traveled to leverage outrageous prices. don’t waste your time, seriously go to evergreen nursery in del mar, it will blow your mind and spare your wallet. actual professionals work there
Wonderful place with broad selection of palms, cycads, and much more. Excellent value. Quite relaxing just walking around the beautiful grounds.
