We were there about 6 hrs. Found several points 3" long and 1" wide. We found bunches of smaller crystals. Dirt was real sandy, very easy digging. The people were friendly and helpful. Heading back there again tomorrow.
Went to a lot of places around this area, I wish I would have spent more at this location! You want crystals, come here! Everything sparkles!
We went to all the mines along this stretch this one was the best. Lots of surface finds. Robin the attendant help us find a bunch of good crystals. The restroom was clean. We stayed all day for 25 dollars each. Parked right next to the mine and ate our lunch there. Open all week till 3:30.
Booked a pocket dig explaining it was my first time (Said it would be no problem), bought some tools at the hardware store. They were late over an hour the morning of, which I was uncertain what I was to do while waiting, came and explained somethings then they left 30 minutes later. The experience would have been better with course correction from an expert, I knew I wasn't going to get as much as if this was my 10th time mining. Came in from Mandeville, Louisiana Today me, my boyfriend, and our two pups went out digging at twin Creek Crystal Mine. Upon arriving, Robin was so helpful and brought us to find some amazing pieces. Such a great day, great atmosphere and her hospitality is second to none. Can you dig it? Yes, we can dig it, I’ve included some pictures of what I found today. I would definitely recommend to bring your family there and meet Robin. The weather was awesome. Just the reset i needed!
