Disappointed customer. Richard was recommended by a friend so we asked him to refinish our 30 yr. old custom-made dining room set and an antique display cabinet in ‘espresso or dark’ finish. In choosing colors he showed us a samples of what each Minwax color would look like on oak furniture. We picked Jacobean because it was the dark color we were looking for. I do not recommend. I gave Richard a piece to repair and while it was complicated, he took the job. I paid up front. Picking up the piece Richard was pretty rude and you can tell this piece wasn’t complete. There were definitely some gaps that were not filled in and touch up’s that could have been completed. When address at pick up, he didn’t bother to look and told me to go fix them in myself. Avoid this business.
We feel so lucky to have found Richard. He refinished a vintage danish teak dining table for us that we purchased off of Facebook marketplace in pretty much horrible shape. Richard gave us a very reasonable price and restored the table to brand new condition in one week! The bonus is Richard is a joy to chat with. We will definitely use Richard again in the future and highly recommend his work!
What a pleasant experience I had in working with Richard & James. My request was for a small trellis that required specialty woodworking. Several other facilities turned me down but there was no hesitation on Richard’s acceptance. The work they did was exquisite & beautiful. My request was for my grandmother & it was to replace the trellis she used for more than 20 years. She wanted it to match the one that broke and her wish came through thanks to Richard & James.
