My daughter made me promise to leave a Google review because she loved this place so much! It’s a lovely, cozy country motel with wonderful hosts and spotless rooms. The friendly dog was definitely a highlight and loved playing with the kids. We also accidentally left something behind after checking out, and the owner kindly called us so we could come back and collect it. We’ll definitely be staying here again the next time we visit the Great Ocean Road!

We booked one night at Twelve Apostles Motel & Country Retreat expecting a comfortable stay near a major tourist area. Instead, we walked into what felt like a badly run, neglected property charging premium prices for a very sub-standard experience. On arrival there was no one at reception. Even more concerning, all the booking forms were simply laid out across the desk with room keys sitting on top.
