Timothy Calwells , Timothy’s post is not how the situation between the owner and Timothy’s girlfriend unfolded . At 6.00 am the woman in question was snooping and shuffling behind a clearly closed a caged the front desk. I was up early heading for a surf and inadvertently witnessed the encounter . I had never experienced racism in my life — until I moved into Tweed Ultima Apartments. Now I know how deeply it hurts and how humiliating it feels. The building manager, Brett, made a racist and offensive comment toward me based solely on my appearance. I was simply trying to collect a parcel from the building’s parcel locker when he confronted me. He assumed I was Brazilian (which I am) and implied that Brazilians break into places.
