What an extremely hard and exhausting week but how much progress Amorella has made I feel so confident leaving Tweedle. We have gone from what ended up being Co-sleeping during the night and holding her for day naps during this separation anxiety stage to solo cot sleeping again, with mainly using verbal and minimal hand touch to sleep. I have waited three weeks since finishing up our residentisl stay to review our time there, and I can safely say it did not work for us. I have spoken to so many professionals about my son's sleep and I am repeatedly told I am doing all of the right things, a tired rhetoric where I am not given any advice or direction to shake up current events whilst still supporting my baby. We just came back from the 5 days residential stay in Footscray and it was really good! We’ve learned a lot about our 11 month old daughter’s sleep and what makes her most comfortable!! Staff especially Daniella and Karen were amazing and super helpful Wouldn’t have done this the way we wanted if it wasn’t for their constant support and positivity 🫶 The only thing that needs improvement is that we felt like every nurse had different sleep strategies and practices and what was right for one would be wrong for another.
