Paid a $970 deposit in early April for tiling work that was meant to start at the beginning of May. After weeks of no replies, I was told he was in hospital, then later claimed he’d been scammed out of all his money. Requests for a refund were repeatedly dodged or went unanswered, and promises to return or “start soon” came and went with no follow-through. Communication was extremely poor and full of excuses.
