This was my first and my absolute LAST time using this service, my experience was horrible. I rented the car so my son could take his road test to get his license. Initially my host seemed like a genuinely nice woman, boy was I deceived!!! She REALLY thought that she could get over on me! When I initially picked up the car, it wreaked of smoke. We rented a car from Turo Rentals in Los Angeles California. They pull a scam....they tell you to quickly drop the car off at the airport, the host came and immediately left. Later that evening we get send photos of the underside of the car - saying we damaged the car and owe them $800! We hardly put any miles on the car and we definitely didn't damage the car at all. I've read others that said they too were told to pay damages after the fact. The host should allow you time to walk around the car right when you turn it in. I... read more

Turo's services made it pretty stress free to find a car for my trip without having to jump through all the hoops of a traditional rental company. It was nice to have an option that truly suited what I needed without costing an arm and a leg to have something that was outside the means of what was needed.
