Cool spot but didn’t get to stop due to how crowded it was. FULLLLLL of people waiting to take pics and clips.
Very cool photo op. Trying to park on the twisty mountain road is pretty rough. Watch for tourists crossing the street, especially midday when the area is crowded.
This is a photo stop at the former "tunnel" entrance to the park. Spoilers this was not a natural tunnel and was made by the Civil conservation Corp. This tunnel was used until 1990 when the new bypass was put in. Why you ask... well trucks and RVS got stuck a lot. When you walk under the rock you can look up and see the scratch marker in the rock. Best done when leaving the park.
