Beautiful park with beautiful views. Huge grass / picnic / play area. Nice little playground at the bottom of the sand hill. You can climb the sand hill or go through the tunnel to get the the beach. (Lake Michigan)
Is it Tunnel park or the Acropolis? Ha ha It’s a park with access to Lake Michigan via a tunnel. Definitely fun to photograph at dusk. The magical time btw what was and what is to be. Various spaces to sit and enjoy. I’m visiting in the Winter enjoying the snowy trails. Stairs available from beach area to car for added enjoyment and nice workout ~ if this matters to you.
We stopped by to catch the sunset, but unfortunately had to leave after learning that pets aren’t allowed in the park—a common trend we’ve noticed around Holland, MI. Just a heads-up for anyone traveling with a dog. We didn’t get to fully explore the park, so we can’t give a complete review, but it looked like a nice spot otherwise.
Tunnel Park has a 4.7 star rating with 2,914 reviews.
Tunnel Park is closed now. It will open at 7:00 a.m.
