Rather like many lodgings in Banff, this place asks for a king’s ransom in the summer, yet at least here one does not feel entirely made a fool of. The building shows its age the moment one walks in, but the reception staff balance matters with their good manners. Our room was perfectly clean, the bed decently comfortable, and two nights passed without real complaint.
