We were referred to Tunex by some close friends. We have an RV and this was the only shop that we could find that can fit an RV. Tunex is a franchise so they could differ from site to site. My review is directly related to Springville. It’s quite a ways away from us, but absolutely worth the time and effort to get down there. We are using their services to do a check through of our vehicle as we prepare to go on a long trip. This was on of the worst experiences I have ever had at a mechanics. Dropped of my car at 9 in the morning and was told at 4 that evening that they didn’t actually have to right part that they told me they had so it couldn’t get done until after noon the next day. It’s probably not completely their fault but I still feel like the part should have been checked before they took part my engine.
Went in to Mike informing him my starter was out. After the diagnostic Mike gave me $1400 quote of work that “needed to be done”. Turned out to be a scam. I reluctantly trusted them. I gave them $1400 and they gave me my truck back. 3 hours later my vehicle wouldn’t work due to the original problem. I took my vehicle back because the 12 month/1200 mile “guarantee” that tunex claims. In lieu of an apology, discount or some type or reimbursement to fix the issue that they claimed to have fixed.
