Similar to Mr. Vannote's review, I provided technical advisory services to Tumey LLP for several years. Tumey stopped paying for my services during mid 2022, generally dismissed my inquries about being paid thereafter, ignored my suggested repayment plans in late 2023, and has still not paid me for nearly 400 hours of my time drafting and progressing patent applications for his clients (who were undoubtedly invoiced for my work). Is this firm still operating? Tod Tumey does not return calls, respond to emails and has not paid outstanding invoice. Their website contact form doesn't appear to work either. Concerning to see another response left similar to this. Not sure how else to contact them given other methods have been unsuccessful.
Saw the post from another Drafting Company so I am simply verifying that the are spot on. Tod Tumey is one to look out for. If you provide any sort of service... get payment upfront. I had been preparing formal drawings for several years for Tod and several other attorneys at his firm. Then is past fall he started falling behind and eventually he simply stopped paying us all together. This firm contracted our firm to do some of their patent drawings. The have had the invoices since February 7th. They promised to pay "soon" on March 21st. Still waiting on payment and they won't reply to any emails now. If you are a vendor looking to work with them, I would recommend getting payment up front. I don't believe we are the first firm to get stiffed by them. If you are a client, I would ask for an itemized invoicing and proof of payment to the vendors they use on your behalf.
