Over all a good experience.
I have eaten here many times, and have always loved it. Today I turned 50, and my mom drove all the way from Davenport to Des Moines to take me to lunch, and wanted me to pick the restaurant. She comes out 1-2 times a year and we normally go to Cheesecake Factory in West Des Moines. But I thought it would be fun for her to experience Tumeas! Very disappointed- sub par food and poor service for the reputation that it has!
I recently visited Tumea and Sons and had a wonderful meal! I hadn’t been in years but suddenly had a craving for real Italian food and the experience lived up to my fabulous memories of the place! The rolls are out of this world as are the fried ravioli. The showstopper however was the Diablo Pasta with Shrimp...penne pasta in a spicy tomato cream sauce. Delectable. I’ll be back again soon!

My twin sister and her boyfriend and my brother brought me and my husband here after our wedding on halloween. it's the best restuarant I've ever been to we can't wait to come back. The service and the food was amazing we had a great time.
came into town for the marathon and was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant... found this gem... the staff and food was FANTASTIC.... I’d definitely drive 4 hrs just to come here 😊
