I have used Tuffy's on E. Vernon as my car repair store since I moved to Bloomington/Normal. I prefer them as I always feel I'm being treated honest and fairly. I never in all of my times using them felt that they were trying to have me agree to have something done that wasn't necessary just to make a few more dollars. I needed to have a used car I wanted to buy checked out on short notice and they were very open to the idea. They scanned the check engine light, test drove it, and did the most thorough used car check on it that I have ever experienced (and I have bought several used cars and have used several different mechanics to do used car checks). we started out the morning with an oil change and tire rotation,as the master tech,BILL assisted us with a problem we had in the steering of our vehical,he showed my husband and i that this tie rod end being loose was a saftey issue and this would also cause our new tires that we had put on 3 months ago to wear.they repaired the vehical and alighned it and we were out the door back shopping for the kids for christmas,THANKYOU you guys for watching out for my family and i!!! I took my car to them to have the brakes looked at. They estimated about $800 of work that needed to be done. I took it to get a second opinion and they found absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes. They have been fine for over a year now. I will never go here again and would never recommend them to anyone!
