Did not rebuild transmission as promised. – In Feburary 2011 I took my car to Tuffy for a transmission rebuild. They assured me that the transmission would be rebuilt and would have upgraded parts. I asked if the 4th gear hub would be replaced since that was the weak area in the transmission. They assured me that it would be. They had a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever occurs first. Trustworthy, fast, women are treated fairly – I have used this Tuffy for service through two different managers now for tire replacement, tire rotation, brake pad replacement, and regular oil changes. The service is consistently friendly, honest and I do not feel taken advantage of as a woman who knows little about auto repair.
