I recently had parathyroid surgery by Dr. Tufano and I cannot express enough how it was the best decision I have ever made. I was experiencing high blood calcium levels (over 12) and was having intense thurst, frequent urination, constipation, GERD, bone and muscle pain and would get confused at times. I recently had thyroid surgery and removal of a 5cm nodule. From the moment I met Dr. Tufano I knew I was in the best hands. His demeanor put me at ease immediately. His advice was right on. Professional and kind. After the surgery his staff reached out several times to make sure all was going well. Dr. Tufano you are a rock star!! This review only goes to a 5 but I would give him a 10. Very clear explanation of my enlarged parathyroid gland and the consequences. Surgery was described clearly. The surgical procedure was perfect, and I'm exceptionally pleased with the result.
Dr. Tufano was extremely professional and thorough. He explained many options to handle the nodule on my Thyroid. He was very reassuring that whatever decision I made he would support. I ending up getting surgery and the surgical team led by Dr. Tufano was wonderful. The follow up care has been fabulous too. I highly recommend Dr. Tufano and the SMH team.
