MY NAME IS KAREN FRANCIS. MY SON TOM WENT TO SEVERAL REHABS DURING HIS TEENAGE YEARS - ALL FAILED. THEN AT THE AGE OF SEVENTEEN HE LANDED AT V3 (PREVIOUSLY TTL). Tucson Transitional Living Staff member found dead with boyfriend(also dead) from a heroin overdose! The couple were apparently living in the on-site housing and were also getting high while working at a substance abuse facility. She however would not be the first, and certainly not the last, TTL staff member to live on site and use drugs on site. Our Son arrived in Tucson Transitional Living after attending and being asked to leave many programs. I can't help but say I felt this would be his last chance. It was on that day we met William Skinner that my optimism was immediately dashed as he began telling us and my son that based on his prior history he would probably fail unless he chose to make a radical change and take responsibility his life. Mr. Skinner's has been their and done it all. He is very clear with all residents from day one that they must own their own... read more

I credit this program with showing my son the path to sobriety. He has been clean and sober for six years and has become the happy, productive person he was meant to me. Tucson Transitional Living, in tandem with the 12 Steps, saved his life. A person seeking a program to pursue sobriety will not find a better one, with a more dedicated and skillful staff, than Transitional Living.

I admit I haven't had a client with TTL for awhile, but in the past I felt their admission process and ongoing help has been wonderful for my clients. I realize due to nature of the work they do, everyone involved is in a different part of the process, and thus interprets things individually. I think these guys are compassionate and skillful.
