Called to order a large amount of steamed crabs for a family reunion. I was told I had to come in advance and pay ahead of time. When I showed up to pay an employee said that he had never heard of that. I did that, and said I'd be in the next day at 2 pm to pick up. Got a phone call at 1:45 that there were as no crab. Went down and got my money back. Unorganized and chaotic. I will NEVER go there again. Did not even get an apology for the run around I got.
Great, fresh seafood at a bargain! – Tryon Seafood on Front St. in New Bern has great fish and seafood! It is actually a fish market, so you can choose the fish you want, they clean it and cook it just for you! That's really fresh. While it is all fried at this point the breading is light and the oil they cook with is too, so that the food is not greasy, just yummy, and reasonable. My favorite is their scallop platter.
