Love this gym. I’ve never felt comfortable in a gym before, but this place is different. They go out of their way to make you feel at ease, and they explain everything in a simple, clear way. For the first time, I actually feel confident continuing my fitness journey.

I’ve been going to Misfits in Johnson City for about a month now, and it’s been a great experience. This was my first time ever joining a gym, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The classes have been challenging! Brandie, who leads the sessions, has been excellent. She adapts workouts to match your level, explains everything clearly, and creates an environment where you don’t feel out of your depth. It’s pushed me, but in a way that actually works. I left the gym because the price was not worth what I got out of it. They got new owners without telling anyone (Feb 2026), and I was charged for continuing classes after the 6-week advertised program without being consulted. The old owners refunded the charge and stated they were "under the impression no one should be charged going forward" as it would be in the hands of the new owners. In March, I was charged AGAIN and at a higher rate WITHOUT MY CONSENT. They tried to enforce the "30-day cancellation policy" even though t... read more

The amount of drama that comes out of here is ridiculous. I can’t go anywhere without hearing of many of the workers spreading details about my private life.
