This review covers the device and company. As for the device, it worked great. You don't have to add ice. Just turn it on and the cool liquid flows through the knee device. Very convenient. The PT gave us a tip on her last visit. Put 1 part rubbing alcohol to 2 parts water in a gallon zip lock bag and freeze it. This worked better than the machine. Save yourself the money and pick up a similar machine for half the price on Amazon. Predatory company that does not give a darn about their customers. Just making a profit off of vulnerable people. Thanks for making my surgical experience far more stressful than it needed to be, Trutech, hell of a business model.
I had my left hip replaced 3 weeks ago. Per my surgeons instructions, Trutech called me prior to surgery explaining the benefits of using the Vascular Compression Unit Therapy System in helping with post-operative pain, swelling, and stiffness. They apologized over the phone that Medicare does not cover the cost of renting this machine and that I would have to pay out of pocket if I were to decide to use it. I am convinced that trutech equipment made my recovery from 2 hip replacements and a knee replacement easier and much less painful. And their customer service is top notch!
