I’ve unfortunately had to go to truss many times for my dog’s skin problems and various sudden issues, but they are always fantastic! Expect to wait sometimes, that’s the nature of them being an urgent care vet, but the care is always wonderful. Very attentive staff and the vets really listen to your concerns and want to help. My husband and I had an amazing experience at Truss Vet - Veterinary Urgent Care - Durham on 7/12/26. On 4th of July weekend we discovered a stray orange kitten in our backyard. We started to feed it and it would come back a few times each day. We posted about it online in a few areas, and unfortunately no one stepped forward to claim ownership. I highly recommend Truss Veterinary Urgent Care. We took our cat, Jodi, in to have her eyes checked for an infection. The vet and nurse were so patient and thorough with examining our quite nervous girl. They showed compassion and care handling her, which I truly appreciated. Staff were very professional and so welcoming from the moment we walked in the door! I was able to get my cat in same day with no wait time. I told them my concerns and they listened with much patience and understanding. The cost was discussed along the way with each test and then discussed total cost before proceeding with treatment. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and attention the staff at the Durham Truss Vet Urgent Care clinic provided us when we brought our dog Goose in after his altercation with a Mama Deer today. Everyone was fantastic and took such good care of Goose and of us as well. Goose got all stitched up and was on his way home with his Cone of Shame within 3 hours. I highly recommend Truss Vet Urgent Care in Durham if you’re pup happens upon a Mama Deer guarding her Bambi.
