I signed up for Trupanion’s 30‑day free trial from July 9 to August 9. I canceled on August 13, only four days into the paid month. I was shocked to learn that Trupanion charges a non‑refundable administration fee even during the “free” trial, something that was never clearly explained. I stayed calm and professional on the phone, but I was very disappointed to receive only a $35.80 refund out of the $78.95 I was charged. Thank you Trupanion for helping out with the cost of my fur baby Jasper biopsy. Hopefully things go well for him. Trupanio went out of their way step by step getting my claim in and helping me out. The care they show is surely genuine. Having pet insurance is genuinely a peace of mind. JT
Trupanion insurance rates continue to go up every year for my cat, this year by $20 which was surprise since nothing with my cats have changed. I got some BS answer about how they take the average for pet care in my area to determine yearlyl rates which I have a hard time understanding. It doesn't seem worth it any more... over $1200 a year. Do not trust estimates as company does not honour them on top of that they charge 2 deductibles.. Most disappointing process ever.. Do your homework and really check other options.. There are lots out there…
