If I could give her zero stars I would. Zero empathy for someone that deals with people that are going through a very difficult time. My ex-wife and I decided that we would try mediation so we signed the contract with TruNorth and we received a templated email only. I found out that my ex was working for three months and hiding money so that eliminated mediation as a sensible course of action since mediation requires both parties to act in good faith and not lie, especially about finances. Berni did not help me at all! She did an intake only. My lawyer won’t respond to me regarding working with her. Since she can’t perform any services at all I asked her for some kind of refund because there is no possibility for their to be any kind of outcome and the contract does not prohibit her from giving me some kind of return. I am a single mom who was disabled by domestic violence and I am struggling financially.
Berni was wonderful through the entire process of my divorce. I was so angry and hurt by my husband's betrayal to me, our marriage of 40 yrs, our adult children and extended family. Berni called me on my anger, and helped me to get my head into the process of working through the logistics of the divorce proceedings.
