I opened an account after receiving a promotional $400 offer. The experience was an impressive demonstration of how not to acquire a new customer. The branch told me to apply online. The online process then instructed me to visit a branch. When you've got that many employees in there you need to have somebody with a notary. I got a checking account with truist solely for use of the ATM and notary, but they're not keeping up their end of the bargain.
