I had a deeply upsetting experience at the Truist branch in Potomac, Maryland, after discovering that my business bank account had been compromised. Following an alert on my phone, I visited the branch to investigate, only to be informed by a banker named Danny that the ownership of my business account had been changed—without my knowledge or consent—by my former business partner. They do not have enough staff at the counter and the ones they have are extremely slow. They do all their business at the counter where it should be used for quick transactions. The wait was so long that I had to leave and go to the branch on River Road.
I recently went to the Cabin John Truist Bank and had a meeting with the Manager who was extremely helpful in answering my questions and giving advice. We were to meet again in two days. I had to cancel to take care of a sick family member. I did reschedule a few weeks later. However it appears this Manager took my cancellation and rescheduling personally. I never write reviews, but this deserves one. Let's say that my family, including myself, have had accounts with Suntrust / Truist for about 30 years. My mother has gotten been led to keep savings in a money market account that pays crumbs, about 0.5% (even when Treasury bonds are at 5%). A loss of thousands for her. Lots of profit for Truist, using that money for decades. Do you want to open a CD? First they give you second best rate. Today had another bad experience in drive through. Last time the gentlemen’s lost one of my checks and said it was my issue then found it. Another time I was given inaccurate information regarding my business service. My son was treated rudely and they input his address wrong so his new card was never received. I have just moved here and my old branch was not like this. The location in Potomac at Tuckerman lane needs management help.
