I have had repeated problems with Truist involving automatic debits and e-check payments being rejected, reversed, or not processed as expected, sometimes resulting in late fees or other charges. What has been most frustrating is the lack of clear answers. I have called Truist, gone to a branch in person, and spoken with representatives and managers, but no one has been able to clearly explain what is happening or fix the underlying problem. Truist sucks. I had a car loan through Truist which wasn't my choice. Got stuck with it from the dealership. Problem was that as soon as I paid off my loan, Truist wiped my online account so I couldn't access it anymore. I couldn't check for a zero balance, or look at my payment record or statements. It was all just gone. Went to the branch to get help with it and they only had one person available to help but was told they were already busy with someone and would be 20-30 min wait. Avoid this palce if you can.

I called the branch at 1:30 this afternoon. I could not talk to a human, but was told I could leave a message. I left my name and phone number. By 3pm I still had not received a call back, so I called again, and left another message. Again, no call back. This was about a time-sensitive matter that requires their intervention. When the bank was SunTrust it was better. Service seems to have really declined since the merger.
