It's unfortunate that hydrogen fuel stations are so limited. My recent trip from San Diego to Northern California highlighted this issue. The only true zero-emission station I found on highway 101 was in Santa Barbara. I arrived at the station around midnight and asked the attendant if I could take a short 30-minute nap before continuing my journey. He graciously agreed. I got a great H2 Toyota Mirai car over the weekend partly because we have a “great” and reliable station here in Santa Barbara where I live. Of course since I returned from LA where I got the car, the station has been continuously offline! I can’t drive the car anymore until I can fill it and darned this is frustrating. I’m sure at some point they’ll figure it out, but hopefully a second station is in the works so we’ll have a back up.
