We contracted with Bassett back in March to install electric on our 4 seasons room rebuild. From the very first conversation we were told about the Watchdog Maintenance Plan and the savings it would offer on our project. Our invoice clearly shows the “potential savings”. My bathroom faucet stopped working altogether, so I called Bassett Services. Within a few hours, they came out to the house, diagnosed the problem, and quoted me a rate of over $1,100 to have it fixed! I had my neighbor do it all for me (new faucet and labor) for $150.00. Shame on Bassett Services for trying to screw me!! Shame, shame, shame!!!
If you’ve ever seen one of the ‘hidden camera’ videos of a predatory company taking advantage of an elderly customer, that’s what you should be prepared for with Bassett Services. A call for a repair for a single leaky faucet ended up being a $2300 charge for plumbing services that were unrelated to the original service call. In a time of need this company was unreliable, unprofessional, and overpriced. They had poor communication from the start. They said a technician was coming between 12-5 and no one ever showed. Every time I called they said the tech was ‘stuck at another site.’ This went on for 2 days. Which could be true, you would think they would try to problem solve another solution after 7 hours of waiting. Out technician was very helpful and pleasant. He took the time to explain what the issues we were having from and came back when the parts came in to repair our electrical issue on a weekend .
