My air conditioner was very loud, and made it hard to sleep. When I checked in, and everytime I came through the lobby, the employees were all playing on their cell phones. Whatever. That's normal now. I came down for breakfast this morning and noticed a girl sleeping in a hanging chair in the lobby. I thought that was odd since she could be in her hotel room. Booked 2 suites at the hotel for a 2 night stay as the proximity to Carowinds was great. The pool area, outdoor seating and lobby were clean. The rooms left something to be desired. Tried calling the front desk, only to find the in room phone not working. Attempted to troubleshoot the phone by checking to ensure it was plugged in the wall and found a mess behind the beds. We would expect more out of a Hilton Hotel that normally meets or exceeds expectations.
My family and I stayed here two nights ago and I have to say it was one of the nicest stays I've ever experienced . The staff and I mean the desk ladies , the maintenance people...everyone was very friendly. Our room was so clean...especially the bathroom - the beds were great, too. Breakfast hit the spot and my grandson and I were big fans of the pancake maker...coffee was great. I would highly recommend this Tru hotel for your travels.
Nice clean hotel with great options for hot and cold free breakfast. Beds quite comfortable and large bathroom.
