I went in for a quote to get my ac compressor replaced, left the car there and he told me about his $22,000 computer and how he went to germany to learn to work on mercedes and yadda yadda yadda.... Calls me back and told me all i needed was a control module (a relay) He charges me $100 for a diagnostic fee (pulled a code and then googled it), sure thats fine i'm willing to pay if it fixes it.. but I was suspicious because you could hear the bearing in the ac compressor. Shady business practices going on at this place! They will lie to you and tell you that you need to pay them to replace parts that are not broken. Rip off!

AC stopped working after owning a used car 2 months. This used car came with a second party insurance policy. Tropical air was given a copy of the policy and they handled all calls to the insurance company and the air compressor and dryer were replaced at no cost to me. Wow...

Took my truck up there to see why my ac wasn't blowing at all. They told me I needed all these parts and the grand total would be $650. Took it down the street to nick's auto they charged me $45 and I now have ice cold ac. Tropical is a total rip off in my opinion.
