I LOVE THIS PLACE!! GINA WHO OVERSEE'S IT IS AMAZING. SHE HAS A GREAT BACKGROUND AND WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE. SO DO SEVERAL OF HER STAFF. SHE WORKS WITH ALL OF THEM TO REVIEW THE ISSUES AND DOES THE DIAGNOSIS WITH THEM AND REVIEWS WITH THE CUSTOMER. I took my Chevy Silverado pickup to Tropical to have the air conditioner compressor replaced, as it had completely seized up, snapped the drive belt and leaked oil all over the engine. They quickly confirmed the problem and replaced/repaired it within a day. I had indicated to them that I was in no hurry. The job was top notch and my air conditioning has worked flawlessly since. I was on my way to South Carolina via I95 when my battery light came on and my air conditioning began to blow hot air. I feared my serpentine belt broke. That fear became reality but the real problem was my air conditioner compressor seized up thus causing the belt to break. This was on a Thursday at 2pm. I went to tropical air and auto a year back. Had to let my car go as a trade in cause of the work they did to my 08 Hyundai accent. Very clean running car until they got it. They are uncertified mechanics working there. I over heard Gina one of the owners on the phone talking about picking up these supposed mechanics for work. I went into see the cause of a failed start in my car. So I had the gasket replaced and all 4 plugs. Basic maintenance I could have done myself if I had the tools. I've had Him a doing all of the work on my cars for about the last ten years. She always goes above and beyond, is always polite and courteous. And I've never had to take a vehicle back for anything related to a previous repair. They have repaired fuel pumps, radiators, air conditioners, and even a car window, among other things. I've said it before, I'll say it again, no other shop will ever work on my cars as long as Gina' s place is open.

I took my Suburban in with AC problems. I even said to Gina that I expected to have to replace the compressor. She stepped out to look at the truck, and came back in 5 minutes later and said it was fixed. All that was wrong is that, when a leak was repaired by another shop, they didn't hit the reset on the compressor. She put dye in the Freon, in case there was still a leak in the system, she would be able to find it easier. It's notGina's fault but nothing was done about my vehicle, the Isuzu, Rodeo and we waited around for several hours the day she told us us to bring it in for some minor cosmetic fixes, I felt so disillusioned as first one and then two and then pretty much half-of Daytona Beach came in for car repairs with-out-so-much as a word from the staff [any] as to when we'd be taken. You tell me what's going on for I haven't a clue as to what's going on around there.
