If you're looking for a mid range accommodation with all the necessary features for a great holiday, the Tropic Sands is great value. Location is ideal. Close (3min walk) to the surf club and 4 mile Beach and an easy (5min walk) to Macrossan St. It's not Peppers level but for us was sufficient at a great price.

Wifi and reception was very poor. No local channels on TV. Made office aware but their response was that it’s only for emails. Very poor for 21st century and this day and age. Very thin towels. Location was good but we won’t be racing but to this apartment.

A really nice small place that left a sour taste in our mouths upon departure when the cleaners came and asked us to leave before the check-out time of 10am. These people were extremely rude and made several comments about the state of the room despite the fact we had raised those issues (such as the shower curtain being broken with the property management in previous days).
