Our range hood fell off the wall last night. It was installed in Oct 2023. A mounting cleat, "which is not required or intended to support the hood," was attached to the wall by 3 short screws with plastic anchors directly into the tile, no attachment to studs. The apron back "is" the main support and it was not attached to the wall at all. What was supposed to be done was the use of no less than 2 1/2 inch screws fastened into studs through the apron back.
