They literally forgot about me. I was in the waiting room for 3 hours then they pulled me back did my intake then left me there for another 3 hours before I had to get a nurses’s attention and their literal response was “oh, we didn’t know you were there” it was my first time at an ER so I didn’t know how long things took

I went to the Tripler Army Medical Center ER around 3:00 AM because I had severe back pain that had kept me awake all night. The ER was nearly empty, with no patients waiting, but I was told they don’t treat back pain and that I needed to wait until sick call at 6:00 AM instead. It was frustrating to seek emergency medical care while in significant pain and be turned away without any treatment or evaluation. Arrived at 8:30pm and was seen around 9:45. (They do call people back depending on their severity, this is to be expected.) Prescriptions sent to an off post pharmacy since the hospital one was backed up. Overall, a great experience. I went in expecting to wait hours!! Staff was so nice and efficient.
