Buying an older used car is always a risk, but this experience was egregious. Bought an '03 TrailBlazer with 4WD, 79k miles for 5k. Seemed like a great deal at the time. Less than a day later the engine started knocking, but no codes or lights came on so I assumed it was fine. Not a good call. Within a couple weeks, the engine light came on (and off with different sensor codes), 4WD stopped working, and other issues arose due to a faulty electrical system.
